Not to belabor a movie reference too much, I think you CAN handle the truth; there are more than a few good men. I married one. We listened to five this past weekend at Bryan’s celebration of life. There were so many in attendance.
It may sound a little woo-woo, but I believe Bryan exemplified the sacred masculine and he carefully chose friends who possess similar characteristics. He used to talk about men he admired like his father and Wes Woods, men “you stand next to and hope what makes them that way rubs off a little.” I’m not sure he knew just how much he was that person to others, but I see it.
The five speakers have tended to our family long before Bryan got sick, but it has been humbling and healing to feel all the ways they stepped in to support us and continue to do so–humor, meals, visits, vanilla milkshakes, conversations, their strength (physical, mental, emotional), their protection, their presence. There are some things that can never be repaid, only appreciated and celebrated. Bryan chose well.

Bryan led an exemplary life and he chose well; including when he chose you. ♥️
